Wrappers

Life, I think, has evolved to a point where we are all attuned to packaging and presentation, rather than meat and substance and essence. We might appreciate something simple, but we don't know how to accept it unless it's delivered with some form of fanfare or jargon. We have grown so used to this idea of wrappings, that I think some of us have no clue how to handle something that's laid bare before us without the box and cover art. I wouldn't call it shallow; that's a term that seems far too deliberate, but I would call it sad.
