Preference is a choice one makes via investigation: "I have tried many things, and prefer this one over that one." Preference is only a priori when categorical decisions are made without investigation, without evidence, without thought. I am tired of my preferences being reduced to a priori by others. It's possibly one of the most insulting treatments I receive from people; insulting, and demeaning. I'm a mature adult. I am not five, nor am I an embittered person who's set in her ways. I choose because I have tried, because I investigate, because I have tested the waters. I choose.
