I sometimes have apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic dreams; things of disaster, aftermath, and they always leave me feeling disconnected and disenchanted and disconcerted. A snowstorm, the world white, a small doll in orange clothing put to bed like a child, all preceeded by a man sharing non-sexual bedspace with a faceless enemy - how do I read such a thing? I wonder if I am to wash clean old wounds, or is it telling me that old wounds are already washed clean, that though things still affect me, they really don't matter. Or is it showing me dogging demons and old ghosts?
