As the decades pass I thank ghu every day that I was savvy enough in the 80s to have discovered college radio, and to have listened to CFNY when they were still cool and Lee Carter (who's a very sweet fella, and one of the few people I know who also likes pickled herring) made his phone-ins from a telephone booth in London, England at 2 a.m., and to have heard Johnny Rotten tell Ivar Hamilton to "shut up and play the record".
