snore

I find that the only time I do anything snore-like, is when I either sleep on my back or sleep with my head titled back at a weird angle. Two things I don't normally do on purpose; I'm a side-sleeper by normal nature. When my body decides of its own volition to worm itself into one of those angles during sleep, and thus cause me to snore, I wake up almost immediately. What I would love to know is how people can snore and not wake up from the sheer volume of it. Plus, it hurts and causes post nasal drip, which is gros.
