It's just been brought to my attention that there is a way to, theoretically, endlessly prolong the fun that is making use of a Slinky. Step 1: Procure Slinky. Step 2: Find a working up escalator. Step 3: Apply Slinky to up escalator in the traditional fashion. You see how that works? There's a shopping mall about ten minutes walk from here, and I'm positive that, along with many fine escalators, at least one shop in there must have some form of Slinky. Oh how the cogwheels turn. And, in case you're curious, no, at my age I am not above such activities.
