slime

Sweating is a necessary evil of being human - particularly during weather that is less than comfortably cool. I can deal with sweating, really I can. I can deal with it dripping down my face, my back, and even into my eyes. Yet there is one thing about sweating that drives me absolutely, bloody barmy.

I hate that slimey slick of sweat that collects on the throat. No matter how clean I am or how much water I drink, that sheen of sweat feels just like what I said it feels like - slime. You keep a towel handy, and wipe and wipe and wipe, yet it keeps coming, and it feels so uncomfortably gross. I could just have taken a shower or bath, and the sweat collecting on my throat will make me feel scummy and dirty and like I haven't bathed in a month of Sundays.

Here's to autumn oncoming, and temperatures that aren't reminiscent of frying eggs on a sidewalk.
