senther

The wind's blowing around outside, rain winds by the sounds of it. They sound cooler, deeper, wetter. The leaves of trees rustle differently.

We, mankind, many of us, spend so much time indoors, with others doing the work for us, with the passivity of accepting the words of the weathermen or almanacs, that I think we've lost touch with how to sense ensuing weather; judging weather by the scent of the air, the colour of clouds, even the colour of the air and light. It's a useful thing, to be able to sense what's coming.
