I have a friend who doesn't like sandwiches. Yeah, doesn't sound right to me either. I don't get it. How could anyone not like sandwiches? It's nature's way of making dinner simple and portable. It suits every meal of the day; you can put just about anything on two slabs of bread and call it a snack; it's good hot or cold; good sweet or savoury, too. One of these days I really should ask him how it is he can go through life without the appreciation of sandwiches. I hope he likes toast. It'd be inhuman if he didn't.
