quote
PAST: Pick a memorable catchprase or classic utterance from your youth. And, of course, share it with the class.
It's not from my youth, but it is from my past. "You rock." I'd say it all the time, most particularly in teasing jest, but always warmly meant, to my friend's husband's band whenever they played - after I threw loose change at them.
PRESENT: What's a catchphrase that you probably use just a bit too often nowadays?
I don't think I have one these days. I've gone through many in the past, including a lot that never made any sense.
FUTURE: Give us a bit of something for the ages. Give us a saying, catchphrase or silly bit of verbage that you'd love to see enter the cultural lexicon.
I wear the cheese. It does not wear me.
I know I could pick something more serious, but the profound doesn't always have to be serious - sometimes it can be silly. In fact, I'd say that from the subconscious, from the silly and bizarre, come the most profound things.
