One of the things I most dislike about getting into an argument with someone, is when those you're arguing with choose deliberately to avoid the point, and get into a linguistic nit-picking session rather than addressing the point of the argument or contentious view brought forward. I can't decide if, on their parts, it's cowardice or genuine asshattery. Either way, don't argue with me in this manner. You are not worth my time. It's not funny to argue this way, and it doesn't make you look more intelligent or capable. Deliberate nit-picking and obtuseness makes you look like an ass.
