hypocontact
I'm just watching the movie "Contact" for the umpteenth time, and the question of best representation comes up: Will a pure scientist represent those of faith fairly, accurately? This question comes up frequently enough, and the persons of faith always seem to win out, sometimes with an argument tantamount to an insult to those who are non-believers. What sort of arrogance is it that allows persons of faith to assume that non-believers are that worthless or ill-equipped? You condemn an entire group of people for the possibility of something that your group actually is doing.
