To some people they're just a toy, an aid, no big deal, no big embarassment. I don't begrudge them to others, don't care why they get them or why they use them. For me, though, the idea of purchasing such an item is like admitting defeat - it's like admitting I can't get a real man, so I have to resort to a detached, battery-operated one because I can't do any better.
