Scent may be the most powerful memory trigger to some, music for others. I am just listening to "Sleepwalk" by Ultravox, and every time I hear that song I remember the very first time I heard it. I remember the guy's apartment I was at, I remember his name, I remember him skanking to "Sleepwalk" in his livingroom, and I remember sitting on the edge of his bathtub trying to staunch the flow of what would turn out to be the last spontaneous nosebleed I ever had.

I saw him on the news a few years after that, after he'd tried to save the life of someone who'd been in an auto accident out in front of McMaster Hospital.

He's one of those people that cross my memory every now and then; wonder where they are; much like wondering where that one high school crush is these days.
