Half the time, when people say to me that they just aren't creative (etc.), I think it's more a case of mistaken perception. I bet, at least some of the time, it's the mistaken notion that they have to make something, or create some sort of finished product. You don't. Especially if you're just doing it for therapy or fun, all you need to do is have the materials, and fiddle around. Squish the clay. Slop the paint around the canvas. Write out slews of words that have nothing to do with each other. I'd say that a great deal of the time, the benefit of the creative process, is in the process itself; not the finished object.
