cheat

So, I'm sitting here innocently watching Forever Knight (this guy could run circles around that pansy Angel in the man and passion departments, mrow), and it is rudely interrupted by yet another commercial for yet another telephone chat line. This one touting the wild side of talking to anonymous women - who are probably nothing like the girls in Victoria's Secret underwear that we see in the commercial.

When what to my wondering ears should appear, but the following line from said commercial:

"It's not cheating if you do it over the phone."

In the ever so wonderful words of my friend Max, "Quoi de fuck?!" Exactly what it is, then? Mm? Pray explain it to me, and use very small words, because I am obviously having a hard time understanding how it is that it could not potentially be seen as cheating, nor how the telephone could possibly remove the taint of cheating.

Which reminds me. I'm somewhat offended by that Ashley Madison website, which promotes cheating openly.

Certainly, as the ad for it says, relationships change over time - but that's why you either a) work to change them to mutual satisfaction, or b) get out of them. You don't consider alterations in a relationship to be an open invitation to screw around on your partner.
