This joke is old, old as the hills. It's been told by comics both famous and
not; by comics both vulgar and not; by comics with delivery and not. I find
it in no way amusing. I've been told that because I don't find it amusing,
that there is something amiss with me, that I just don't get it. I
get it. But what I get is this: I get the fact that it's meaningless. I get
the fact that it's vulgar. I also get the fact that it's boring. You know
what else I get? That it is unlikely that someone who's been molested or
been the victim of incest, is going to find this particular piece of, uh,
humour, humourous. And quite frankly, I wouldn't blame them. I get the
point; it's just not funny.
