I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not, but, have you noticed
how common it is now, for all the paragraphs in online news sites and
magazines to be only one sentence each? I've also noticed it in the local
print newspaper. Have our attention spans got so bad that we can only
absorb one sentence at a time without distraction? I remember some study
years ago, that said childrens' attention spans were approximately fifteen
minutes in length, due, they said, to the amount of TV a child watched;
fifteen minutes being the average time between commercials.
